About The Position

The Human Resources (HR) Business Partner I plays a key support role within the HR function, working closely with the HR Director to align people's practices with business goals. This role provides day-to-day HR support to site leadership and team members at our locations in Wisconsin and Minnesota and will also travel to other locations within the region to provide support as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 1–4 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and provide support to employees and managers.
• Proficient in using basic HR information systems and common office software tools.
• Able to manage routine HR data tasks and generate reports to support team needs.
• Familiar with fundamental labor laws and basic compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Human Resources certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-SCP, CHRP) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the HR Leader to implement and support HR strategies that meet site-specific goals.
• Provide guidance on basic HR topics such as policies, procedures, and employee relations under the direction of the HR Leader.
• Assist in gathering and analyzing HR metrics to identify trends and support informed decision-making.
• Help administer core HR programs (performance management, engagement, onboarding, etc.) at the site level.
• Participate in employee relations investigations, documentation, and follow-up actions as needed.
• Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and support on HR-related issues.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (COEs) with benefits, talent acquisition, and Learning & Development activities to ensure consistent HR support and compliance at the site.
• Travel to other sites within the region to provide support as needed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
