About The Position

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) supports day-to-day HR operations across assigned locations and serves as a key point of contact for leaders and employees on HR-related matters. This position reports to the HR Manager. This role focuses on employee relations, workers’ compensation administration, attendance management, leave administration, and compliance. The HRBP partners closely with operations leadership to provide guidance, support consistent application of company policies, and help address employee concerns in a timely and effective manner. This position requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or employee relations role
  • Experience supporting workers’ compensation, attendance management, and leave administration
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Experience with HRIS systems (ADP or similar preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support employee relations matters, including responding to concerns, conducting investigations, and gathering relevant information
  • Partner with managers to address performance issues, employee concerns, and workplace conflicts
  • Assisting in drafting disciplinary documentation, including coaching, written warnings, and terminations
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures
  • Promote a professional and respectful work environment aligned with company expectations
  • Assisting in managing workers’ compensation claims from initial report through resolution
  • Ensure timely reporting of claims and proper documentation
  • Coordinate with managers, employees, and third-party administrators
  • Support return-to-work efforts, including modified duty assignments
  • Monitor claims and escalate concerns as needed
  • Support management of the attendance tracking system, ensuring accuracy and policy adherence
  • Partner with managers to address attendance concerns and apply corrective action consistently
  • Review and audit attendance data to identify trends and discrepancies
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Support managers in handling employee performance concerns and disciplinary processes
  • Reinforce leadership expectations around communication, professionalism, and accountability
  • Support administration of FMLA, ADA, PLOA, and other leave programs
  • Partner with employees and managers to ensure proper documentation and tracking
  • Work with third-party vendors, as applicable, to support leave and accommodation processes
  • Maintain accurate employee records within HR systems (e.g., ADP)
  • Assist with audits and ensure data accuracy
  • Support rollout and communication of HR policies and updates
  • Assist with report development and data analysis
