This role sits at the intersection of people, policy, and purpose. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys being involved when things are nuanced, messy, and important. At Savant, our Human Resources Business Partners sit at the intersection of people, policy, and real business outcomes. You’ll partner closely with leaders across the firm, helping them think through employee relations, performance, growth, structure, and everything in between. Yes, compliance matters here. But it’s never the whole story. We’re looking for someone who knows the rules and understands when context matters, someone who can explain the “why,” not just enforce the “what.” If you like building trust, navigating gray areas, and being a true thought partner to the business (not just the HR safety net), keep reading. What you’ll actually be doing As a Human Resources Business Partner (internally, we call this role a Talent Advisor), you’ll support specific business groups across Savant and act as their primary go‑to for people‑related questions and decisions. That looks like: Partnering with leaders on employee relations, performance conversations, engagement, team dynamics, and workforce planning Helping leaders think through decisions that balance business needs, risk, and the human side of impact Coaching leaders through tough conversations — not avoiding them, not sugarcoating them, but navigating them well Translating business goals into practical people solutions (and flagging issues before they turn into fires) Supporting change — including organizational growth and M&A activity — with clarity, empathy, and structure Being a visible, trusted presence for employees who need guidance or perspective This role lives in nuance. We don’t always have perfectly clean playbooks — especially in a growing organization — so good judgment, curiosity, and flexibility matter just as much as technical HR knowledge. A little about the team you’ll join You’d be joining a Talent team that: Has high standards and a healthy sense of humor Doesn’t pretend HR work is easy — but supports each other through it Values strong judgment, partnership, and honesty over being “perfect” Works mostly virtual, but really appreciates face‑to‑face time when possible Ideally, this role will be based near Rockford, IL, with the ability to come into the office at least once a week.
