About The Position

MTSI is seeking an experienced HR professional to serve as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). This role will foster an environment of technical excellence and innovation while ensuring MTSI’s commitment to collaboration, teamwork, and social responsibility. The Senior HRBP will act as a trusted partner to leaders and employees, strengthening leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and alignment with MTSI’s core values. This position is based in the Las Vegas office and is crucial for building and sustaining a strong local culture and reinforcing the core value that Employees Come First. This is a new role designed to work strategically with leadership on local, national, and enterprise-wide initiatives. The ideal candidate will partner closely with leaders, drive human capital initiatives to support growth, and strengthen a positive, high-performance culture aligned with MTSI’s core values. Key aspects of the role include consultative partnership with leaders and employees on HR initiatives, leadership focus to reinforce culture and expectations, employee engagement through program support and recognition, employee relations and workplace environment management, and HR compliance with applicable employment laws, especially for federal contractors. Success requires strong collaboration, sound judgment, leadership presence, and the ability to build trusted relationships. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, intellectual curiosity, humility, and initiative. The role involves navigating complex organizational dynamics in a fast-paced, growing professional services environment, balancing business needs with MTSI’s commitment to its people and values. The HRBP will be instrumental in strengthening local culture and ensuring MTSI attracts, develops, and retains top talent.

Requirements

  • 8 to 12+ years of relevant progressive experience in Human Resources
  • Experience with a defense contractor is required
  • Effectively managing confidential or sensitive information
  • Experience in HR areas including Career Development, Employee Relations, Compensation, Labor Laws
  • Experience in employee and leadership development, HR operations, and compliance at a high-growth organization
  • Strong aptitude for process and technology
  • Experience serving in a shared service or support operations environment/organization.
  • Experience partnering with, collaborating with, and coaching others.
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Experience leading and supporting change; can establish and maintain credibility to employees and leadership; is highly organized and self-motivated; and desires to learn on a continual basis.
  • Outstanding team player, positive engaged attitude.
  • US Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related business discipline.
  • Government clearance is plus.
  • Experience with the following tools is helpful: SAP SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, Eightfold, and other modern HR technology platforms.
  • Current Active Clearance is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the local and regional leaders to manage and resolve performance issues and opportunities.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner focused on a transformational talent agenda designed to attract, develop, and retain the best talent in the industry.
  • Understand business strategies and how to leverage and implement high impact human capital solutions.
  • Analyze workforce data and organizational metrics to provide insights that support leadership decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Help foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurialism, in an environment that requires high levels of scalability, security and reliability.
  • Provide daily support and partnership to leaders on employee attraction, development, and retention issues, which may include handling annual reviews, advanced HR reporting and metrics, and special project assistance.
  • Closely partners with other HR leaders to deliver superior results to the business.
  • Support and deliver programs related to workforce planning, talent management, change management, leadership development, employee engagement, and cultural alignment.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees by providing thoughtful guidance on workplace challenges and human capital opportunities.
  • Serve as a role model and thought leader on Human Capital issues and opportunities.
  • Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding, new hire orientation programs, recognition programs as well as employee learning and development activities.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
