Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex compliance topics.
  • Possess strong ability in exercising good independent judgment, paying attention to details, prioritizing and handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently

Nice To Haves

  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Applications i.e. Excel, Word, and Power Point are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Managing employee benefits programs such as health insurance and retirement plans
  • Facilitating employee enrollment, processing changes, and managing terminations in benefit plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA).
  • Process monthly billings and administrative fees for all group plans accurately and timely.
  • Serve as primary contact with carriers and third-party administrators, responds to benefits inquiries from employees relating to status changes, plan provisions, and other general inquiries.
  • Explaining benefit options to employees, conducting orientations, and addressing inquiries.
  • Maintaining relationships with benefit vendors.
  • Serves as the point of contact for FMLA related questions and processing.
  • Maintaining accurate records, generating reports, and analyzing benefits data.
  • Investigating and resolving benefit-related issues, including claim disputes.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of new benefit programs and policies.
  • Completes verification of employment and unemployment claims.
  • May serve as the backup for Payroll.
  • Completes court orders and subpoenas.
  • Conducts I-9 audits and documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director
