About The Position

The Human Resources Assistant position is designed to support the HR Department in various functions, including recruiting, onboarding, training, and relationship management. The role aims to ensure a smooth and effective experience for new hires, assist in recruitment processes, and contribute to the development of staff and external relationships. This position plays a key role in fostering a positive work environment and supporting the agency's core values.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all facets of recruiting and onboarding success throughout the agency.
  • Assist with training and development efforts of the HR Department.
  • Assist with developing, maintaining, and promoting effective community, source, patient, and partner relationships with the agency.
  • Create and administer a dynamic Orientation and Onboarding experience for all new staff.
  • Coordinate with new staff and management personnel to create strategic new hire training plans.
  • Follow up and regularly communicate with new hires for the first ninety days to ensure a great transition.
  • Assist in the usage, development, and editing of pre-screening assessments, background checks, and pre-hire tools.
  • Assist departmental heads and supervisors to ascertain recruitment and selection needs.
  • Create, edit, and maintain effective open job advertisements and post agency openings internally and externally.
  • Ensure seamless job opening communication between the agency website and internet portals, and leverage internet social networking sites.
  • Lead the pre-screening, interviewing, and selection process of candidates for all positions.
  • Manage the use of outside recruiters and/or headhunters.
  • Promote internal agency growth by communicating opportunities for internal staff.
  • Communicate with managers and staff regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidates.
  • Coordinate various programs focused on the development of new hires and current staff, and strengthening relationships with sources, patients, clients, and agency partners.
  • Assist in the execution of monthly In-Services in collaboration with department heads and HR.
  • Assist the management team to improve morale within the agency.
  • Create, edit, and execute surveys and feedback sessions to gauge morale and support retention efforts.
  • Assist in creating, editing, and maintaining job descriptions, interview guides, and other recruitment support forms.
  • Assist in the writing and forwarding of rejection letters and preparing and sending offer packages and new employee orientation packages.
  • Prepare reports to assist the HR Manager in making objective decisions.
  • Support the development, delivery, and training of human resources policies.
  • Comply with agency Policies and Procedures and the Employee Handbook.
  • Complete emergency preparedness training and participate in related exercises and drills.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management or the Emergency Command Center during emergencies.
