About The Position

The Personnel Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties relating to personnel, benefits, compensation, and employee relations activities. The Personnel Assistant maintains up-to-date and organized HR files, e.g., confidential, personnel, medical, training, I-9, driver’s license, and insurance paperwork. Assists with processing paperwork for new hires and terminations, including retirement report and forms when applicable. Assists with advertising all open positions available on-center with Job Bid Program and off-center resources. Assists with conducting benefits enrollment and orientation for new employees and informing new employees of available insurance benefits, procedures, etc. This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by a person assigned to this job. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years’ related experience in Human Resources preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
