About The Position

Red Ball Oxygen Co., Inc. was founded in Shreveport, LA in 1930 and has been under continuous ownership of the Kennedy family since 1969. We have grown to 22 retail locations and 4 cylinder fill plants across four states serving a large and diverse customer base of Industrial, Specialty, and Medical Gases, welding and industrial equipment and safety supplies. The Position: Red Ball is looking for a Human Resources Administrator in our Shreveport corporate office. This position has the responsibility of assisting with payroll processes, benefit onboarding, monthly credit card reports, and the administrative HR procedures. The position requires basic knowledge of human resources operations and maintaining personnel records and databases. This is an on-site position with limited travel potential. Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Detailed Orientated
  • Able to meet critical deadlines
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Business degree and/or two years of Human Resources experience preferred
  • Knowledge of benefit plan and compliance

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain, and process confidential information with high degree of accuracy and timeliness
  • Bi-Weekly Payroll Process
  • Credit Card Expense Reports
  • Administer health plans/401k plan, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Process required documents through payroll.
  • Accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
  • Complete all onboarding forms, including I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
  • Submit new-employee background checks
  • Manage HRIS system including on-boarding/off-boarding employees
  • Maintains HR filing system including confidential personnel records
  • Maintains applicant data, records, and acknowledgement; prepares new hire paperwork
  • Assist the HR department with errands such as preparation of client visits, employee events, and luncheons
  • General administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and emailing
