About The Position

The Human Resources Department (HRD) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking to build a competitive pool of ready-to-hire Human Resources Analyst(s) for the HR Operations Division. These are anticipated one-year contractual vacancies, with the possibility of renewal for up to four years of cumulative contractual service, subject to performance, budget, and business need. The selected candidate(s) will provide operational and administrative support across a broad range of human resources operations functions, potentially in Service Delivery, Allowances Administration, or Talent Operations. Responsibilities include administering HR policies and programs, delivering HR services within defined standards, providing customer support, administering HR transactions and payments, conducting audits, coordinating recruitment, resolving issues, maintaining records, identifying process improvements, and supporting knowledge transfer. The role requires sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Requirements

  • A combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of secondary education.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience.
  • Strong service orientation, with demonstrated initiative, tact, and professionalism.
  • Exceptional customer service and empathetic listening skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate communications.

  • High attention to detail and awareness of fiduciary responsibilities and operational risks associated with high-value benefits, payments, confidential data, and recruitment decisions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose practical solutions, and escalate complex matters appropriately.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure with minimum supervision, both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience in human resources.

Responsibilities

  • Administer selected HR transactions accurately and within established service standards and timelines.
  • Provide responsive, empathetic, and high-quality customer support to employees, dependents, retirees, and other stakeholders.
  • Review, triage, and resolve HR inquiries and transactions received through various channels.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction and service delivery performance targets.
  • Interpret and apply relevant HR policies, General Administrative Orders (GAOs), Staff Handbook provisions, and operational procedures.
  • Safeguard and maintain the integrity and accuracy of employee records and data.
  • Perform financial transactions and coordinate recurring allowances and one-time payments.
  • Perform audits, reconciliations, and quality control reviews of benefits, allowances, and HR transactions.
  • Observe policy and process controls to support accurate administration and disbursement of allowances and to mitigate risks.
  • Maintain and update procedures, self-help guides, knowledge articles, and other HR service content.
  • Identify documentation gaps and contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
  • Use HR systems and AI-enabled productivity tools to streamline intake, organize information, draft routine materials, support quality checks, and improve consistency in service delivery.
  • Recommend practical improvements to HR policies, work practices, procedures, and systems.
  • Support HR service presentations, training, and knowledge transfer activities for colleagues, back-ups, and temporary staff.
  • Administer operational processes across the recruitment lifecycle and support recruitment services.
  • Conduct recruitment-related eligibility reviews and support recruitment officers in assessing candidate eligibility, appointment requirements, and recruitment policy compliance.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to recruitment officers on salary determinations.
  • Prepare, draft, and coordinate offer letters and other recruitment-related documentation.
  • Respond to standard policy and procedure inquiries from client departments and candidates.
  • Liaise with the Talent/other COEs and other relevant stakeholders, facilitate knowledge transfer within HR Operations, and provide guidance to departmental HR teams.
  • Coordinate and prepare necessary information for recruitment processes.
  • Draft relevant communications in accordance with IMF standards.
  • Monitor the workflow of document submissions, maintain all relevant records, and ensure timely communication of decisions.
  • Identify process improvements, provide recommendations, and draft revisions to procedures and guidelines related to assigned programs.
  • Perform quality control reviews to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Maintain and update data related to recruitment activities and programs.
  • Support the COE with reporting, analysis, and other analytical work.
  • Ensure that recruitment-related information on HRD's website is regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Contribute to projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts as needed.
