About The Position

The City of Henderson is seeking to fill two vacancies in the Human Resources Analyst series within the Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Division of the Department of Human Resources. The department will consider candidates qualified for either the Human Resources Analyst I or II level. The eligibility list created from this examination may be used to fill vacancies for up to one year. The Human Resources Analyst I, under general supervision, performs analytical and technical human resources work in various areas of the department. The Human Resources Analyst II, under limited supervision, performs highly technical, administrative, and analytical work supporting assigned divisions, specialized programs, and compliance initiatives. This role also provides leadership, training, and guidance to staff, serving as a subject matter expert for employees, supervisors, and managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Business or Public Administration, or a closely related field
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience working in talent acquisition/recruitment in a human resources department
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or “border state” driver’ license, as defined by NRS 483
  • Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based records check, and a wants/warrants check
  • Must obtain and maintain Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification upon hire/transfer and recertify as needed.
  • Must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment.
  • A total of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in a human resources department; at least two (2) years of which were working directly in talent acquisition/recruitment (for HR Analyst II)
  • Completed Employment Application

  • Experience in multiple HR disciplines
