About The Position

The Human Resources Analyst performs moderately complex professional, technical, and analytical HR duties in support of a central or departmental HR program, overseeing one or more of the following areas: benefits administration, compensation, employee relations, selection, or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education (ratio 1:1)
  • Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.
  • Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078, all employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Human Resources or Benefits field
  • Experience working with Human Resources Information System (HRIS) software
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Respond to the benefit related issues.
  • Work with the insurance vendors to investigate and resolve benefit related issues for members.
  • Provide insurance information to employees and retirees.
  • Process enrollments and eligible change in status’ for members on the plan.
  • Handle termination of employee coverage in the plans.
  • Reconcile employee information against the employee benefit program.
  • Assist with annual enrollment for employee and pension benefit programs.
  • Respond to benefit related calls and walk-ins.
  • Research Metropolitan Code and Charter.
  • Utilize Metro's personnel and benefits related software systems.
