Responsible for acting as a resource for, and a liaison between, Human Resources and employees and/or job applicants by ensuring that questions are answered, and assistance given, as required. This role involves assisting the Employment Manager in all aspects of the employment function, serving as a human resource representative in all areas of human resources as needed, and preparing reports as requested by Management. The position acts as the main point of contact for new hires during the on-boarding process, ensuring all new hire policies and procedures are met in accordance with property policies and procedures, as well as all applicable laws. It also involves submitting and reviewing online investigation requests, assisting with new employee background checks for contingent staff, and verifying I-9 documentation. The role requires attention to detail in HR due diligence with background checks, drug screening, employment eligibility, and compliance. It includes completing verifications of employment, maintaining professional candidate interaction throughout the on-boarding process, and providing daily updates to management regarding candidate on-boarding status. The Human Resource Representative will maintain the applicant tracking system, create and audit new hire paperwork, and handle routine questions from guests and employees, directing non-routine questions appropriately. Additional duties include running maintenance reports, assisting with updating the HRIS and Records, backing up the receptionist, sorting and distributing mail, preparing outgoing mail, maintaining copy room supplies, and sorting/distributing faxes. The role also assists with special projects and promotes an atmosphere of fun and mutual respect within the department.
