About The Position

Encorr Sheets, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners and a leader in the corrugated manufacturing industry, is seeking a HR & Payroll Coordinator at our state-of-the-art facility in Ontario, CA. This role is responsible for recruiting, weekly payroll processing, and providing human resources administrative support. The position involves sourcing, pre-screening, assessing, and presenting qualified candidates for open positions, as well as conducting new employee onboarding and health benefit enrollments. Payroll duties include monitoring hourly employee timecards, collaborating with department managers for timekeeping edits, and processing payroll accurately and on time using Ceridian Dayforce. HR administrative duties include company event planning, sourcing venues and vendors, providing guidance on meal-related production goals, and other confidential HR support tasks.

Requirements

  • High school education
  • Minimum of 2 years of Recruiting experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Payroll experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR Administrative support experience
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Excellent time management skills and well-organized
  • Possess a high degree of accuracy and analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt to fast-changing needs/environment
  • Possess a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Daily regular and consistent attendance is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Human Resources
  • 5+ years experience in manufacturing recruiting experience
  • Knowledge of the corrugated manufacturing industry process
  • Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies and actively source, attract, recruit, and select high-quality candidates.
  • Serve as a primary contact to candidates, providing an exceptional experience and promoting the company's reputation.
  • Explain company benefits to potential employees.
  • Continuously communicate and review the plant manning report to support operations.
  • Identify future hiring needs and stay proactive with hiring plans.
  • Provide weekly progress and status update reports on hiring and manning.
  • Collaborate with management to understand the work environment and talent needs.
  • Analyze job market trends and make recommendations.
  • Conduct in-depth pre-screening, assessment, and talent identification.
  • Make recommendations for qualified candidates for interview considerations.
  • Keep candidates engaged regarding interest, qualifications, and pay expectations.
  • Conduct New Employee Onboarding Orientation meetings.
  • Assist employees with the Health Benefit Enrollment process.
  • Create and maintain New Employee personnel files with confidentiality.
  • Reconcile and validate weekly timecards through Ceridian’s Dayforce system.
  • Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on accurate timekeeping and compliance.
  • Process new employee documents and personnel changes in Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Process hourly payroll accurately and timely using Ceridian Dayforce.
  • Establish a check and balance process to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies or employee questions.
  • Process Referral or other bonus payments.
  • Use the online E-Verify system to process I9 forms.
  • Ensure I9 process and supporting documents are processed and stored according to government requirements.
  • Source venues and vendors to negotiate costs for company events within budget.
  • Represent the company and meet with venue management to establish business agreements.
  • Communicate and follow up with venue management and vendors for successful event execution.
  • Provide guidance to the Production management team on meal budgets for production goal attainment.
  • Order meals and process payments to vendors.
  • Take inventory, order, and process payment for monthly office supplies within budget.
  • Follow all safety and company policies, reporting issues immediately.
  • Complete monthly online safety training.
  • Manage multiple issues concurrently.
  • Perform other miscellaneous HR and Administrative duties as assigned.
