About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to own and manage all HR operations in a small, fast-paced office environment. As the sole HR professional, you will handle employee relations, conflict resolution, workplace investigations, coaching and team development, performance management, high-volume hiring and talent acquisition, licensing, and compliance. In this pivotal role, you will directly shape the employee experience, foster a positive and high-performing culture, and ensure that all HR practices reflect our core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. You will work closely with local leadership and employees at all levels to provide practical, day-to-day HR support while also driving continuous improvement in our people processes. This position is based out of our Greensboro, NC office.

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 3–4 years of full-cycle Human Resources experience, with a strong focus on hourly employee relations.
  • Professional HR certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent).
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience conducting and documenting workplace investigations.
  • Strong conflict resolution, mediation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear report and documentation writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence managers on performance and employee relations issues.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple cases and priorities.
  • Expertise in employee relations, including coaching, conflict resolution, and counseling.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Professional demeanor with a commitment to integrity and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and resolve complex employee relations matters, including performance issues, policy violations, and workplace disputes.
  • Conduct thorough, impartial, and legally compliant workplace investigations, delivering clear findings and action-oriented recommendations.
  • Proactively address employee concerns through coaching, counseling, and problem-solving to reduce risk and improve engagement.
  • Mediate conflicts at all organizational levels, ensuring fair, timely resolutions aligned with company policies and employment laws.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, with a strong emphasis on high-volume hiring, ensuring a consistent, compliant, and positive new-hire experience.
  • Oversee licensing, credentialing, and compliance requirements, ensuring employees meet all regulatory, training, and certification standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation that support business objectives and effective risk management.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations, risk mitigation, and HR best practices while upholding the highest standards of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism.
