About The Position

The role of the HR Generalist will support the overall day-to-day human resources needs of the Chicago, IL plant and provide HR support to the Seymour, IN plant.

Requirements

  • Experience with ADP is required
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related HR role or related field; or equivalent combination of experience & education
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products.
  • Foundational knowledge of human resources processes, terminology and programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and an ability to work with all levels of staff and management.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and adapt to changing needs.
  • Sound judgment and discretion in working with sensitive and confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • HR certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full-cycle recruiting, conducting interviews, maintaining staffing levels and assisting with new hire paperwork.
  • Partnering with recruiting agencies for hard to fill positions
  • Facilitate new hire orientation
  • Sending termination letters to terminated team members
  • Entering new hires in the Fidelity system and updating any changes in their profile as needed
  • Assisting with attendance points tracker updates and summaries
  • Managing the call off system
  • Assist with implementing team member programs which enhance employee morale
  • Providing HR information for tv presentation to communicate valuable information to team members
  • Assist the payroll/benefits coordinator with employee benefits.
  • Controlling the administration of uniform inventory on site.
  • Assisting in organizing and planning company functions.
  • Assist in plant employee relation efforts, coaching & disciplinary procedures.
  • Partnering with EHS Manager on Safety incidents, meetings and initiatives.
  • Assisting with other projects as necessary.
