About The Position

As a Human Resource Generalist, you’ll be part of our Human Resources team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to support the day-to-day operations of the HR department and manage HR programs, Talent Development, and policies and procedures for the business. You will provide support to all major HR functions such as Employee Relations, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Engagement and Training. You will represent employee advocacy and strong business partner relations. You will develop an employee-oriented culture that strives for safety, quality, continuous improvement, and productivity. You will work together with employees, supervisors, and managers to resolve employee relations issues. You will develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures. You will reinforce and advocate for the Open Door Policy across the leadership team and adhere to the Employee handbook on policies and procedures. You will foster a consistent, clear, concise communication plan. You will plan and coordinate recruitment strategies. This includes sourcing (internet, job fairs, newspapers, agencies, etc.) interviewing, selection, diversity initiatives, background checks, drug testing, and manpower planning. You will handle FMLA/Disability administration/Worker’s Compensation administration. You will support Payroll administration by reviewing time and attendance daily for all hourly employees within UKG Workforce Pro system. You will support training, new hire orientation facilitation, and employee recognition/events. You will participate in working groups, councils, and committees. You will support HR-related projects.

Requirements

  • Associates degree required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources employee relations.
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong conflict management skills.
  • Highly skilled in MS Office Suite. (PowerPoint, Excel) required.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated with an emphasis on keeping customer and business commitments.
  • Consistently demonstrates the highest level of personal ethical conduct and leads by example with strong values.
  • Experience managing and maintaining confidentiality (including treatment of confidential documents).
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to manage and organize multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to occasionally work additional hours to cover shifts for communication rhythms or activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Workday experience preferred.
