About The Position

The Human Resource Director conducts a variety of HR duties. This position is responsible for overseeing 1 HR Generalist position. The HR Director oversees all employee benefits, promotes positive labor relations and is responsible for knowing all HR related regulations which Snyder Village is required to observe. The Human Resource Director acts as a resource to management and staff for HR related matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree preferred in HR/Business Management or 5 years related experience in management and HR related business.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews Personnel Policies and employment related forms and procedures annually.
  • Administers voluntary benefits, including but not limited to Health, Life, Dental, Vision and Disability Insurance.
  • Knowledgeable about and ensures Snyder Village is following Federal and State regulations regarding voluntary benefits.
  • Explains benefit options and costs to all employees.
  • Assists with the design of a cost-effective employee benefit plan.
  • Maintain knowledge of FMLA, HIPPA, Wage & Hour, Corporate Compliance and other HR related Federal and State regulations.
  • Assures that required written policies and procedures are developed and recommends policy changes needed to maintain compliance.
  • Ensures management team is aware of requirements.
  • Maintains all required Federal and State employment posters.
  • Assists employees with HR related questions.
  • Provides information to employees regarding internal and external resources for their personal or employment related needs.
  • Directs employees to the appropriate location in the Snyder Village chain of command for supervision related issues.
  • Consults with supervisors as they request regarding employee issues.
  • Reviews employee dismissals with the appropriate Division Director prior to action being taken to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, laws, and Snyder Village policy.
  • Coordinates employee recognition events such as the Employee Recognition Dinner and Christmas Party.
  • Develops and conducts staff educational and personal growth initiatives such as a Wellness program, seminars and lunch-and-learns.
  • Coordinates administration of employee Satisfaction Surveys.
  • Acts as IT coordinator.
  • Assists network users and works with the Snyder Village IT Support vendor as needed.
  • Responds to all e-mails and phone calls daily.
  • Sets and conducts annual goals for Human Resources.
  • Assists the Accounting Department with tasks as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
