About The Position

This position performs specialized human resource and administrative support tasks to maintain professional human resource functions. The Human Resources and Workforce Strategy department fosters a thriving campus community designed to enhance well-being, collaboration, innovation, and career growth. Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally to convey information effectively.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise tact when dealing with sensitive, complex, and confidential information.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Some knowledge of: human resource management concepts.
  • Good knowledge of: administrative support functions including organization skills, composing business documents, compiling and summarizing data, and customer service.
  • Experience: interpreting and applying employment laws, rules, regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate employment processes including but not limited to: background checks, employment verifications, I-9 verification support, and related verifications, etc.
  • Create and support a welcoming atmosphere for all employees and applicants to Boise State.
  • Support all Front Desk activities by assisting internal and external customers online and in person.
  • Provides assistance to human resources or management staff.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.
