As a Human Factors Engineer, you will support the Systems Engineering Special Disciplines organization which services multiple programs. In this role you will: Apply human factors principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of human-machine systems and products. Perform evaluations in such areas as anthropometry/biomechanics, systems architecture, crew interface usability, and human-computer interaction. Work across multi-disciplined teams to optimize the performance of human-machine systems and architecture design. Coordinate technical requirements across engineering fields, participate in hardware & software design and reviews, evaluate and assess system architecture, and evaluate human capabilities and impacts of the system environment.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Human Factors requirements and processes
  • Familiar with Human Factors Engineering practices (eg. designing and conducting usability tests and task analyses)
  • US Citizenship Required with the willingness/ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Biomedical), Human Factors Psychology, or closely related field
  • Enthusiastic problem-solver with knowledge of human modeling tools & techniques
  • Previous experience working with Government customers
  • Proven behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to tackle problems and implement constructive change
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Active or Current Secret or higher security clearance
