About The Position

Brandywine Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) faculty seeks a student researcher for Spring 2026 project (hourly). Student openings in Academic Affairs offer wonderful professional growth opportunities and allow you to make connections, develop professional skills and competencies, and add valuable employment experience to your resume. This opening is part-time, typically 5 to 20 hours per week, and pay $12 per hour.

Requirements

  • Must be a current Penn State student.
  • Must be able to work part-time, typically 5 to 20 hours per week.
  • Must be able to complete trainings such as CITI.
  • Must successfully complete background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering research materials.
  • Perform research tasks including but not limited to using library databases and documenting findings.
  • Conducting surveys, interviewing participants, transcribing interviews, entering results in databases.
  • Completing trainings such as CITI.
  • Other duties as assigned by the instructor.
