About The Position

The Department of Access and Community Engagement at Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking an innovative, passionate student champion to serve as Lead for the HUB. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and is responsible for creating and implementing holistic student support services. The HUB is committed to transforming the lives of Jefferson students through assistance with meeting basic needs and accessing campus and community resources. The HUB aims to remove non-academic barriers to college success and contributes to educational attainment for all students.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in social work, communication, psychology or a related field, and two-to-three years of related experience, or equivalent.
  • This position requires the supervision of two other employees.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day operation of Jefferson’s Dare to Care Food Pantry at the Downtown Campus.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the HUB with campus employees, Jefferson Foundation, and community organizations.
  • Provide a warm, respectful, and safe environment that creates access and community.
  • Provide case management and support for vulnerable students who may need crisis intervention, referral services, and other types of non-academic support.
  • Lead and co-create programming and support for all six Jefferson campuses.
  • Provide wrap-around support for students with non-academic barriers who are referred by faculty and staff and refer to appropriate community partner agencies as needed.
  • Supervise HUB Student Success Coordinator, Family Scholar House Regional Director, and interns.
  • Coordinate the request process for student emergency funds.
  • Assist the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs with tasks such as establishing annual budget, grant seeking and reporting, and collaborating with other offices to manage duties related to the functions of the HUB.
