Strive: How You Lead Matters is a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading character-driven leadership through dynamic experiences in sport, school, and community spaces. Strive's mission is to empower individuals from all backgrounds to become character-driven leaders via intentionally designed social-emotional learning curricula and programs, fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment. This service position is for an AmeriCorps Member serving with Strive, with a service term from August 2026 to July 2027. The role involves supporting and/or leading physical education classes, supervising students during lunch and recess, providing academic support through tutoring and homework assistance, and facilitating Strive programming. The goal is to build strong, supportive relationships with young people, helping them develop confidence, leadership skills, athletic ability, and healthy habits. Strive Coaches are expected to lead with integrity and create joyful, inclusive spaces where students can thrive, supported by comprehensive training in sports-based youth development.
