HSS OR RN PERIOP 101 Residency Program
About The Position
This is an opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses to become Perioperative Nurses through the Stamford Health HSS OR Perioperative Residency Program. The program is anticipated to start in September 2026. The Operating Room Residency Program (Periop 101) is a 6-8 month rigorous and blended program that includes online modules from the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and Stamford Hospital Perioperative Services. It combines a standardized, evidence-based online curriculum and textbook readings with hands-on skills labs and clinical practicum. Participants will receive a one-year complimentary AORN membership. The Periop 101 course consists of online learning modules, simulation, and direct patient care experiences, designed to build upon basic skills and integrate daily learning into practice. Students will learn to circulate and scrub.
