About The Position

The HSE Technician supports the implementation and continuous improvement of the site's Health, Safety and Environmental programs. This position works closely with the HSE Manager and team members throughout the facility to support regulatory compliance, workplace inspections, training, hazard identification, incident prevention, environmental programs, and HSE documentation. The HSE Technician will maintain a visible presence on the production floor and help promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, timely follow-up, and identification of opportunities for improvement. ON-SITE Monday through Friday

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 1–3 years of HSE, manufacturing, industrial, or related experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety requirements.
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance, hazardous waste, and chemical safety preferred.
  • Experience with inspections, JHAs, incident investigations, or safety training preferred.
  • OSHA 10/30 and First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with team members to identify hazards and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct routine HSE inspections and safety walks.
  • Assist with JHAs, risk assessments, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Support incident and near-miss investigations and corrective action tracking.
  • Recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and work practices to enhance safety and environmental performance.
  • Assist with HSE training, communications, and employee engagement activities.
  • Support environmental programs, including waste, chemical, and spill management.
  • Inspect and maintain records for emergency and safety equipment.
  • Maintain HSE records, reports, metrics, and required documentation.
  • Support regulatory, corporate, and internal HSE audits and inspections.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness, ergonomic assessments, and contractor safety.
