About The Position

This role is responsible for encouraging and promoting a strong safety culture within the facility by ensuring the implementation of HS&E procedures and programs. The technician will maintain a strong presence on the production floor to provide guidance and coaching to all employees and contractors regarding the HS&E program and policy interpretation. They will also participate in HS&E policy and program development/enhancement, ensure required PPE is available, and assist in incident investigations and compliance audits.

Inspection and maintenance of HS&E equipment (fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, first aid kits, AEDs, Spill Kits)
Maintenance of updated SDS database/SDS Books
Ensuring safe working conditions of equipment, tooling, and shop areas
Assistance with SWPPP and SPCC plan requirements
Assistance with waste management program compliance
Performance/assistance in HS&E documented training (Hunting, OSHA, ISO 14001/ISO 45001)
Identification and reporting of non-conforming HSE and QA items
Communication with HS&E and Operations teams
Participation in safety initiatives and events
Performance of HSE process validations
Assistance in document control for HSE records

Responsibilities

Encourage and promote a strong safety culture within the facility by ensuring implementation of HS&E procedures and programs.
Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to provide guidance and coaching to all employees and contractors regarding the HS&E program and policy interpretation.
Participate in HS&E policy and program development/enhancement.
Ensure required PPE is always available for employees and contractors on the facility premises.
Assist as needed in incident investigations and the gathering of related documentation.
Assist in the completion of HS&E compliance audits required by Hunting’s HS&E Management System.
Conduct visual inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, identify hazards and address any areas of concern regarding Health, Safety, and environmental impacts.
Inspect and maintain HS&E equipment, including fire extinguishers, safety eye wash stations, first aid kits, AEDs, and Emergency Spill Kits.
Assist with maintaining an updated SDS database/SDS Books for the facility.
Ensure equipment, tooling, and the shop areas are in safe working conditions.
Assist in the completion of program requirements for Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan.
Assist in the waste management program to ensure compliance with all waste tracking and disposal requirements per local/state/federal regulations.
Perform and/or assist in required HS&E documented training for all personnel and contractors in accordance with Hunting, OSHA, and ISO 14001/ISO 45001 requirements.
Identify and report non-conforming items pertaining to the HSE and QA Management systems.
Keep close communication with HS&E and Operations team including interaction and regular safety discussions on HSE related items.
Participate in the organization of safety initiatives and events in the facility to promote a culture of safety first.
Perform HSE process validations in accordance with the HSE Management system requirements.
Assist in document control for HSE records.
