About The Position

The HSE Technician is responsible for ensuring corporate compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This role involves coaching and assisting operations personnel, addressing noncompliance issues, and promoting HSE awareness throughout the organization with a focus on Goal Zero. The technician will maintain and oversee various aspects of the safety program, conduct inspections, support environmental compliance, and contribute to the overall safety culture.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret statutory requirements.
  • Must be able to professionally respond to inquiries or complaints from employees or members of Conrad primary business community.
  • Ability to identify and eliminate hazards.
  • Must be a team player willing to listen and discuss alternatives and support the principles of Conrad Industries.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Corporate Compliance with all HSE policies and procedures are adhered to and enforced.
  • Coach and assist all operations personnel for any noncompliance.
  • Elevate any continued noncompliance with the HSE Specialist and operations management.
  • Interface with the employees, everyone is to be treated with respect and in a professional manner.
  • Increases HSE awareness and Goal Zero at all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain and oversee all aspects of Safety program to include: Logging of all reported incidents, Lead weekly safety meetings and daily JSA meetings with supervisors and employees, Conduct internal HSE audits and inspections, Observe work practices and task setups to ensure a safe work environment, Administer first aid when required, Conduct thorough investigations and root cause analysis to include corrective actions, Be proactive and recommend improvements on an as needed and recognized basis, Share and apply lessons learned across Conrad Operations.
  • Conduct and support facility inspections on a scheduled basis and correct deficiencies, including hazardous waste areas, confined spaces, manifolds, fire extinguishers, electrical panel labels, eyewash stations, emergency showers, equipment in use, and paint skids.
  • Support and assist environmental compliance as needed.
  • Support and assist other Conrad Facilities as needed.
  • Cover on-call weekends as required.
  • Share and apply safety alerts/lessons learned.
  • Meet annual performance goals.
  • Continually work on professional development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
