About The Position

Tropicana Brands Group is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Resource Specialist to support its Supply Chain team at the Ft. Pierce manufacturing plant. The role implements the company’s EHS policies and procedures at the site and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. It is site-based and requires daily onsite presence, with flexibility to adjust shifts as business needs require and travel of up to 5%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field, or at least 3 years of EHS experience.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
Solid employee relations experience and interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
Professional maturity and ability to act as a change leader, influencing all levels of the organization to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
Must be located in the Ft. Pierce, Florida surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
Willingness to work onsite daily at the Tropicana manufacturing plant in Ft. Pierce.
Willingness to travel up to 5%.
Ability to flex shifts as needed to accommodate business needs.

Responsibilities

Implement and execute the site’s annual EHS Plan, including developing the expense and capital budgets needed to support it.
Ensure compliance with applicable environmental permits.
Build site resources’ capability to implement EHS programs.
Manage the site-wide system and Program Owner process to identify and evaluate hazards and implement effective controls.
Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
Interface with OSHA, EPA, and state and local regulators.
Facilitate completion of the site-wide annual EHS training plan.
Participate in formal EHS reviews of existing equipment modifications, new equipment purchases, and site process changes.
Ensure required regulatory permits are acquired, reports are submitted to regulatory agencies, and permit conditions such as sampling and recordkeeping are met.
Support the Tropicana Security team as needed.
Address ambiguous problems to determine and prioritize business strategies.
Implement short- and long-term strategies to support organizational operations and transformation.
Lead, influence, and collaborate across functions through formal and informal channels to drive results.
