About The Position

HiFyve is hiring an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to lead environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives at a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining HSE programs, driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, and partnering cross-functionally to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of Health, Safety & Environmental experience in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 2 years of experience owning or leading HSE programs
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and workplace safety programs
  • Experience supporting or maintaining ISO management systems
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action programs
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste management, environmental permitting, and chemical safety programs
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or similar certifications are preferred
  • Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SDS management, or multi-site manufacturing operations is a plus
  • Occasional travel required

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs that support regulatory compliance and operational excellence
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage environmental permits, reporting requirements, hazardous waste programs, and environmental compliance activities
  • Lead new hire safety orientation and ongoing employee safety training, including OSHA-required programs
  • Plan and facilitate safety meetings, facility inspections, and compliance audits while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Maintain emergency preparedness programs, including emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and site drills
  • Oversee chemical inventory management and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) administration
  • Support and maintain ISO management systems, including quality and environmental standards
  • Manage contractor and vendor safety compliance programs
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and follow-up activities
  • Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, ergonomic evaluations, and management of change reviews for new equipment, processes, and facility modifications
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Human Resources, Quality, and other departments to integrate HSE requirements into daily operations
  • Identify and implement sustainability initiatives that reduce waste, improve resource utilization, and enhance environmental performance
  • Maintain audit-ready HSE documentation and support internal and external regulatory inspections
