The APTIM Federal Services, LLC team was recently awarded several contract task orders by the Navy at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, San Francisco, CA. Our team will remove environmental and radiological contaminants from impacted property, re-investigate areas of concern, restore the shoreline, and construct seawalls along the San Francisco Bay waterfront. Hunters Point Naval Shipyard is among the most well-known environmental restoration projects in the United States. The Site Health and Safety Officer (SHSO) will be responsible for implementing and maintaining all relevant APTIM safety programs in conjunction with client procedures to provide a safe and compliant working environment during APTIM work activities. The SHSO ensures that all project safety requirements are implemented in accordance with approved Accident Prevention Plans (APP), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA), and Site Health and Safety Plans (SHSP/HASP). This position requires strong field leadership and coordination with the client Site Safety Representative, Navy representatives, and APTIM Corporate Safety leadership. The SHSO will spend the majority of their time in the field ensuring safe execution of construction, environmental remediation, and radiological investigation activities. This position is located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
