Position Summary The High School Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Working under the direction of the Building Principal and Director of Special Education, the teacher evaluates student progress against instructional objectives, ensures compliance with state and federal special education requirements, and serves as the IEP case manager for assigned students. This role requires close collaboration with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and paraprofessionals to ensure students receive the services and supports necessary to access rigorous grade-level instruction and make meaningful academic progress.
