A High School Science Teacher is responsible for passionately providing instruction in the field of science, promoting student progress, and promoting and managing a safe, positive classroom environment. This role requires a passion for Christ and his Kingdom, demonstrated through personal spiritual discipline and public ministry, with a desire to grow in that relationship. Professionally, the teacher must hold a Bachelor's degree in a science-related field and possess the ability to effectively teach physical and life sciences, including biology and chemistry essentials. Desirable qualifications include a Master's degree, a California teaching credential, and/or ACSI certification. The teacher must be able to manage a safe and positive classroom, engage students through relational ministry, uphold high academic standards, and collaborate effectively with faculty and staff. Other expectations include active participation in the school faculty, responsive communication, adherence to school policies, and performing other assigned duties. The role may also involve assisting with the Robotics class and competitive Robotics Club.
