The role also requires maintaining communication with school personnel and parents, utilizing technology effectively, and solving practical problems. Language skills include the ability to read and interpret professional journals and regulations, write reports and correspondence, and effectively present information to various groups. The job involves physical demands such as sitting, walking, standing, talking, hearing, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds, with occasional travel to a child's home. The work environment is typically loud and the employee is responsible for students' safety, work output, and well-being.
