About The Position

The HRIS Specialist contributes to the daily workings of the Human Resources department and provides support for Branch Operations with Human Resources related obligations. This position serves as a key point of contact for staff, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, and ensuring the integrity of employee data within the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; especially Excel and Word are required.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage records, schedules, and documentation efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills for handling employee inquiries and coordinating with internal departments.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in employee data and compliance with policies.
  • Discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee information.
  • Must be capable of regularly speaking and hearing while utilizing hands to control or manipulate objects.
  • Must be capable of seeing close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be willing and capable of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, or reaching above the shoulders.
  • Must be willing and physically capable of lifting objects weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be willing and capable in performing computer-based tasks while sitting or standing at a computer-based workstation for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to make general decisions requiring judgement and perform activities requiring sustained concentration.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred; however equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years related experience is preferred.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience is preferred.
  • Skilled hands-on experience supporting teams and operations in the Industrial Services sector is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for Branch personnel and employees' HR-related questions
  • Support Human Resource Managers/Directors with Employee Relations
  • Collaborate with Payroll and Benefits Departments to resolve outstanding employee issues
  • Complete new hire processing, employee changes and terminations in HRIS
  • Identify opportunities for training and education and assist in development of training
  • Ensure data accuracy in HR systems
  • Ensure HR practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
  • Support audits and reporting by maintaining organized and up-to-date records
  • Monitor policy adherence and escalate issues when necessary
