We're Hiring: HRIS Payroll Lead | Workday Expert Join World Fuel Services, a global leader in energy distribution and logistics, powering the movement of people, goods, and businesses across air, land, and sea worldwide. We're looking for an experienced HRIS Payroll Lead to join our team and serve as the technical leader for our global Workday Payroll ecosystem. This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you'll partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to design, optimize, and deliver scalable payroll and HR technology solutions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience managing Workday Payroll in a global environment, with demonstrated expertise in payroll integrations, configuration, business process management, security, testing, release management, reporting and third-party vendor interfaces.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex HRIS initiatives or workstreams.
- Strong understanding of Workday architecture and HR business processes.
- Proven experience leading complex HRIS projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience with Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, and Integrations is highly valued.
- Agile experience and Workday certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday Payroll, providing hands-on technical leadership and solution design for complex payroll requirements, cross-functional initiatives and system enhancements.
- Lead and optimize payroll functionality within Workday, including configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of the Workday Payroll module for the US and UK, as well as integrations and support for countries using external providers.
- Support Agile delivery by contributing to backlog refinement, estimation, sprint planning, execution, and acceptance of work.
- Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to translate business needs into effective technology solutions.
- Drive testing, release management, security controls, reporting, and data integrity initiatives.
- Support Workday enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Mentor HRIS team members and provide technical leadership on complex projects.
- Help shape the future of our HR technology strategy through innovation and best practices.
