About The Position

The HRIS / Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the accurate administration of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and end-to-end payroll processing. This role ensures data integrity, system compliance, and timely payroll execution while supporting HR operations, reporting, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in HRIS and/or payroll administration preferred
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and employment standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR reporting tools
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and integrity of employee data
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries and troubleshooting
  • Generate standard and ad hoc HR reports and dashboards
  • Ensure data security, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Process payroll accurately and on time in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Review payroll data for accuracy, including hours worked, deductions, benefits, and taxes
  • Coordinate payroll-related activities with Finance, HR, and external payroll vendors
  • Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, and year-end processes (e.g., W-2s, T4s)
  • Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies
  • Provide PBJ reports to Administrator for review
  • Upload bi-weekly step increases, getting final approvals from the CHRO and the employee’s supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local employment and payroll regulations
  • Support internal and external audits related to payroll and HRIS data
  • Maintain documentation of HRIS and payroll processes and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HRIS and payroll processes
  • Assist in training HR staff and employees on HRIS self-service tools
  • Support special HR projects as assigned
