About The Position

The HRIS & Benefits Analyst is responsible for performing a wide variety of HR-related duties. They own the HR system of record and are responsible for data maintenance, processes, reporting, and analytics for all modules, including core HR, payroll, benefits administration, wellness program management, compliance, and leave management. In addition, the HRIS Analyst provides additional services to support an effective and efficient HR Department with a focus on customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive HR experience, with a strong emphasis on HRIS management, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Experience with Paycor preferred.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel knowledge/usage
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and execute tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, including proficiency with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and the practical use of AI tools.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to multiple locations as needed.
  • Ability to work within a multi‑company environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Effective project management, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and professionally to internal and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM‑SCP, SHRM‑CP, or HRCI certification (SPHR, PHR, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the organization’s HRIS, including managing workflows and system approvals. Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HR system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Documents process and results.
  • Manages all payroll for the organization, including all salary changes, deductions, benefit feeds, reporting, taxes, etc. Supervises the Payroll Administrator.
  • Manages benefits and all benefit administration for the organization, including broker relationship, vendor management, claims resolution, reporting, and communication of benefits information to employees.
  • Maintains the wellness program by running challenge and registration reports, posting challenge and wellness communications, maintain company store goods, and conduct wellness meetings.
  • Completes all governmental reporting (EEO-1, Multiple Worksite Reports, etc.), unemployment claim processing, compensation surveys, and other company surveys as required.
  • Responsible for HR Analytics and provides reporting to the executive leadership team and HR team.
  • Responsible for HR usage of AI, both within the department and for external needs if necessary.
  • Participates in new-employee orientations and trains management on the onboarding process as necessary.
  • Partners with other members of the HR/Training team for best practices and communication efforts.
  • Supports employees throughout the employee life cycle regarding system navigation, analytics, benefits, and payroll questions.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature as required.
