About The Position

The HRIS & Benefits Analyst supports and enhances Pref‑Tech’s HR technology environment through expert administration of BambooHR, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), and related HR platforms. This role ensures accurate employee data, efficient workflows, seamless benefits administration, and a positive HR user experience. The analyst will partner with multiple departments and leadership to optimize systems, ensure compliance, and drive data‑driven HR operations. This position is critical to Pref‑Tech’s ongoing efforts to streamline processes and advance integration. This includes, but is not limited to the following functions:

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HRIS with HR Operations and benefit experience.
  • Hands‑on experience administering BambooHR (preferred) or similar HRIS.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes (hire‑to‑retire, benefits, compensation, recruiting, timekeeping).
  • Proficiency with reporting tools and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities independently and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality results.
  • Customer-service orientation and ability to manage deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Knowledge of compliance: ACA, Section 125, ERISA, HIPAA, 401(k) processes.
  • Experience training users and supporting change management.
  • Power BI experience.
  • Benefit reconciliation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator for BambooHR across modules.
  • Maintain and support D365 HR workflows related to employee lifecycle and organizational data.
  • Troubleshoot HRIS issues, escalate to vendors as needed, and manage ticket resolution.
  • Maintain system security, role‑based permissions, and audit trails to ensure compliance and data integrity.
  • Monitor system performance, identify process and configuration improvements, and proactively address system needs.
  • Support the HRIS integration, including field mapping, sync accuracy, error tracking, and documenting enhancements. Actively conduct training needs analysis and reconcile gaps on a continuous basis, including forecast of the near expiry training activities.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and Operations to optimize workflow efficiency and system utilization.
  • Conduct monthly benefits invoice reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support regulatory compliance such as ACA reporting, 401(k) audits, and Section 125 nondiscrimination testing.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, test scripts, and configuration logs.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance HR automation, employee experience, and data flow across systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and internal consultant on HRIS best practices.
