About The Position

Cobb EMC has an exciting opportunity for a HRIS Analyst to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and operational efficiency of benefits data and systems. This role specializes in identification of data file requirements gathering, developing/confirming specifications, leading testing efforts, performing quality assurance checks, identification and coordination of data requests with our benefit partners. The analyst will be the primary liaison with IT for programming requests, setup of systematic SFTP or EDI data exchanges and scheduling file extracts within the integrated HRIS system. The analyst will identify, resolve, and prevent data discrepancies with minimal guidance, design and implement quality control checkpoints, and document benefit-related processes, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field required.
  • Minimum (3) three years’ experience in Benefits analytics or similar role.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the HR lifecycle and recognizes the critical importance of maintaining accurate benefits data and adhering to HR laws and policies to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Minimum (3) three years’ experience building reports, developing workforce analytics, analyzing results, identifying trends, and maintaining real-time dashboards.
  • Working experience in creating and validating vendor data transfer files.
  • Ability to apply sound reasoning and logic in the analysis of data, identify opportunities, and suggest effective resolutions.
  • Ability to learn Cobb EMC’s current HRIS, LMS, Performance Management software.
  • Ability to maintain accurate reports and records.
  • Advanced data visualization skills using Power BI.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate in-person, telephone, and email.
  • Excellent written skills for creating process and reporting specs and documentation.
  • Exceptiona l attention to detail and experience designing quality control checkpoints.
  • Exhibit an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows operating system, including Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate with various organizational personnel, vendors, and management.
  • Proficiency with Excel (advanced formulas, Macros, Power Query), and familiarity with SQL or other data tools.
  • Solid understanding of benefits data flows, HRIS systems, and compliance regulations (HIPAA, ERISA, ACA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify, investigate, and resolve data anomalies independently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of HR/Benefits data administration experience.
  • Experience designing and executing internal controls and supporting compliance audits.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or similar credentials.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS (Infor CloudSuite/HR Talent (GHR) and Spreadsheet Designer Query tool.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis: Drive initiatives to identify and implement vendor and retiree billing efficiencies that significantly reduce reconciliation time for the benefits team, ensuring alignment between invoiced amounts and internal records.
  • Manage the benefit data file transfer processes with external vendors (SFTP, EDI, and others).
  • Support and configure key benefit processes to include benefit plan configuration, enrollment management, deduction/payroll integration, and administration.
  • Streamline and monitor benefit automation rules and benefit group membership updates.
  • Create end user instructional guides.
  • Maintain employee facing benefit documents in HRIS and company intranet in SharePoint.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing data files; identify discrepancies and initiate resolution processes proactively.
  • Design and maintain quality control checkpoints, audits, and data validation processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop, update, and maintain process specification sheets, SOPs, and workflow documentation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR Operations, IT, payroll and vendor teams to streamline benefits data exchange and resolve technical issues.
  • Analyze benefits data (enrollment trends, utilization, discrepancies) and work exceptions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, best practices, data security standards (HIPAA, ERISA), and internal policies.
  • Assist with open enrollment periods, benefits audits, vendor reconciliations, and compliance filings.
  • Participate in vendor selection, onboarding, and day-to-day vendor data support.
  • Prepare reports, present, and explain findings to the HR team and other company leaders to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Develop plans to functionally manage HR applications, future HRIS modules implementation, and systems objectives.
  • Respond to requests for various ad hoc reports, data queries, formatting, and analysis as necessary; internally and/or to meet vendor specific requests for audits.
  • Assist Vice President of Human Resources in preparing reports for Board of Directors and employee townhalls.
  • Utilize Power BI software to develop, analyze, and maintain dashboards and reports.
  • Leverage AI and machine learning tools into HR data analysis and reporting processes to improve accuracy, decision making, efficiency, and predictive insights.
  • Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies to identify opportunities for automation and enhanced decision-making within HR operations.
  • Serve as a backup to HRIS Administrator

  • Serve as the HR liaison to ERP IT team in coordinating HRIS environment updates, testing, and refreshes.
