About The Position

IAMGOLD is seeking a Business Partner Human Resources - Operations (HRBP Operations) to act as a strategic partner to project and operations teams, ensuring HR initiatives align with business objectives. This role supports the HR Operations Department with operational and strategic tasks, contributing to growth and development projects, managing recruitment, advising teams on HR matters, and supporting international and domestic mobility. The HRBP Operations will actively contribute to workforce planning, talent attraction, operational preparation, and the deployment of HR programs in a context of growth and transformation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in human resources.
  • Significant experience in the role of HR business partner.
  • Experience in recruiting specialized, professional, and operational positions.
  • Experience in supporting growth, construction, or start-up projects.
  • Experience in the mining, industrial, manufacturing, or natural resources sector.
  • Bilingualism French and English.
  • Strategic vision and business acumen.
  • Ability to influence and credibility with leaders.
  • Versatility (Administrative, tactical, and strategic tasks).
  • Effective and professional communication both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an HR partner for project teams, particularly for the Neligan project.
  • Advise project managers on issues related to work organization, staffing, integration, and change management.
  • Contribute to the implementation of HR policies, programs, and practices necessary for the start-up and operation of new sites or projects.
  • Implement human resources practices and policies.
  • Support the HR operations department in his/her duties.
  • Be responsible for all recruitment activities for growth projects in partnership with the corporate talent and acquisition team.
  • Develop candidate pools and recruitment strategies for critical positions.
  • Collaborate with recruitment agencies, educational institutions, local communities, and other external partners.
  • Monitor performance indicators related to recruitment and produce the required reports.
  • Act as the main point of contact with external suppliers and internal customers when needed.
  • Support internal customers in the control of mobility processes.
  • Escalate issues and propose solutions to simplify processes.
  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with operational leaders and internal partners.
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
