About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources, Temporary Solutions division. The agency aims to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of its employees. This role supports recruitment efforts and coordinates onboarding activities for new employees, reconciles invoices for timely processing and payment accountability related to temporary employees, and reviews applications to refer qualified temporary designated candidates to hiring managers. Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience for those seeking permanent employment with the state.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 1 year of experience required; or 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
• Must be fully qualified for the job.
• Temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Workday
• Working within an HR division in North Carolina State Government is preferred

Responsibilities

• Supporting recruitment efforts and coordinating onboarding activities for new employees using the Workday application and management system.
• Reconciliation of invoices to ensure timely processing and payment accountability related to the employment of temporary employees.
• Reviewing applications and referring qualified temporary designated candidates to hiring managers.
