The Department of Family and Community Medicine (FCM) aims to enhance the health and healthcare of New Mexico's people and communities through education, research, patient care, service, population health interventions, and health policy development. This HR Tech position will manage, coordinate, and administer the daily credentialing and privileging activities for physicians, associate clinical staff, and network practitioners. The role also serves as the Department's liaison with the Health Sciences Clinical Affairs Provider Credentialing Office, providing necessary data. The ideal candidate is dynamic, highly organized, eager to learn new systems, capable of working independently and collaboratively, and possesses a professional, positive attitude with effective communication skills. Excellent customer service is crucial for handling high volumes of email and telephone interactions. Maintaining confidentiality and exercising good judgment are essential. The position requires the ability to independently manage a heavy workload with competing priorities and deadlines, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills. This includes tracking and following up on all credentialing and privileging packets, ensuring the quality and accuracy of data for medical staff and associate clinical staff. Proficiency in composing memos and emails, performing business math calculations, creating Word documents, and Excel worksheets for data organization, analysis, and presentation is necessary. The ability to create and maintain both electronic and paper credentialing and privileging file systems is also essential.
