About The Position

The United Safety Human Resources Department is looking for an experienced, driven, relationship focused HR Supervisor to join our team. This position is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career from an HR Coordinator, or Generalist role, and who enjoys hands-on engagement with employees. The HR Supervisor (Operations) is responsible for delivering human resources support across designated business units, with a strong emphasis on field engagement and operational partnership. This role provides frontline HR leadership, supports day-to-day employee relations, and ensures consistent application of company policies, procedures, and employment practices across all Canadian operations. The HR Supervisor acts as a key liaison between employees, operations leadership, and corporate HR, driving practical, business focused solutions that support workforce effectiveness and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on operational or field-based support
  • Excellent relationship building abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, managing changing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of the company HRIS system.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment activities, leading the recruitment of management roles.
  • Coach and mentor junior HR employees.
  • Oversee the day-to-day administrative tasks performed within the HR department, including, but not limited to; letters of employment, employee enquiries and concerns, leaves of absence, updating employment documents, termination paperwork, among other daily activities.
  • Oversee the compliance of our Drug & Alcohol testing program.
  • Ensure compliance of Regional and Corporate policies.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to operational teams across assigned regions or business units.
  • Build strong relationships with Operations Managers and frontline leaders through regular field presence.
  • Administer and resolve employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct regular site visits to support operational leaders and employees.
  • Act as a visible and accessible HR presence within the field.
  • Ensure compliance with Provincial and Federal employment laws.
  • Deliver or support training initiatives related to HR policies, leadership development, and compliance topics.
