Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Human Resources Specialist at our Manufacturing Facility in Temple, TX.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • PHR Certification preferred
  • 5+ years of related professional Human Resource experience.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used in the Consumer-Packaged Goods and/or manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Knowledge in ADP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of applicable state, federal, local employment labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills.
  • Skills in handling conflict resolution situations.
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and manage complex and difficult issues.
  • Ability to be discreet with confidential information and sensitive issues.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Support plant of 100-150 employees.
  • Provide HR support to plant population including employee relations on a variety of issues.
  • Coordinate the hiring of new employees and ensure employment decisions follow company policy and employment laws.
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints regarding a wide variety of issues (FMLA, work schedules, transfers, promotions, benefits, safety, unfair treatment, performance, personal issues, pay, and company policies).
  • Advise Unit Managers and Supervisors to ensure consistent application of corrective action of company policies and standards of conduct.
  • Coordinate with Unit Managers to determine hiring needs and ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Conduct investigations and provide summary reports to appropriate HR Director.
  • Assist with response to EEOC, DOL and unemployment claims.
  • Communicates changes in HR related policies and benefit plans.
  • In locations where applicable, responsible for complying with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to act.
