About The Position

This role is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment, analyzing HR metrics, administering HRIS systems, coordinating benefits, supporting HR programs and policies, ensuring legal compliance, and assisting with special HR projects. The HR Specialist will play a key role in various HR functions to support the organization's human resources needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 4–6+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in an HR Coordinator or Associates capacity.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee customer service.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance initiatives.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (preferably UKG) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), onboarding platforms, and HR analytics/reporting.
  • Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or multi-site environments preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, including workforce planning, job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, selection, offer coordination, and onboarding.
  • Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports related to staffing, turnover, recruitment, compliance, and employee trends for leadership review.
  • Administer and maintain HRIS systems, employee records, and reporting functions with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate benefits administration processes including enrollments, qualifying life events, employee education, and vendor coordination.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR programs, policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies, including leave administration and workplace regulations.
  • Coordinate and support performance review processes, employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies.
  • Assist with special HR projects, audits, and organizational initiatives across multiple departments or locations.
