HR Services Generalist
About The Position
This role provides day-to-day HR support to employees and supervisors on the manufacturing floor. The HR Services Generalist will drive hourly recruitment efforts, coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation, and partner with the HR Shared Services Center to deliver comprehensive HR services across the employee lifecycle. This position requires maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with system enrollments, responding to employee inquiries, supporting engagement activities, and assisting with safety initiatives. The role also involves managing unemployment claims, supporting staffing agencies, and participating in HR projects for process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Internship in Human Resources or entry level position in Administration
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production/manufacturing setting and engaging with diverse employee groups
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Previous HR experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with HR systems such as Workforce Time and Attendance, SuccessFactors, and ADP GlobalView
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and supervisors on the manufacturing floor
- Driving hourly recruitment efforts including posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and onboarding
- Coordinate and support new hire onboarding and orientation for plant employees
- Partner with the HR Shared Services Center to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end HR services across the employee lifecycle ("hire to retire")
- Maintain accurate employee records, timekeeping data, and ensure documentation is compliant with company and legal standards
- Help enroll and train employees on systems such as HRIS (Human Resources Informational System) platforms like ADP, Success Factors and Workforce
- Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner, and escalate to additional resources where applicable
- Assist with employee engagement activities and company events
- Support safety initiatives and compliance
- Participate in HR projects and contribute to process improvement efforts
- Respond to unemployment claims and medical support orders as needed, ensuring accurate and timely handling in accordance with legal guidelines
- Serve as HR support for staffing agencies, facilitating communication between agency representatives and hiring managers to ensure alignment on staffing needs and processes
- Additional duties as assigned
