About The Position

Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc. is seeking an organized, people-focused HR & Safety Coordinator for our Kansas City, KS distribution center. This dual role supports employees and operations across human resources, workplace safety, and office administration. Make a direct impact on employee experience and distribution center operations. Partner with local leaders, regional cross-dock managers, and the Human Resources team. Build broad experience in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. As an HR & Safety Coordinator, you will provide day-to-day employee support, coordinate key HR processes, promote workplace safety, oversee general office services, and assist regional cross-dock managers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3–5 years of human resources experience
  • Prior office management experience
  • Working knowledge of human resources practices, employment law, employee benefits, and confidential recordkeeping
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA requirements, and hazard communication standards
  • Strong communication, organization, judgment, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to provide consistent, unbiased support to employees and leaders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting employees in a distribution center, warehouse, transportation, or delivery environment
  • Experience with applicant tracking, timekeeping, payroll, benefits, workers’ compensation, or leave administration systems
  • Previous responsibility for safety training, inspections, or compliance recordkeeping

Responsibilities

  • Support employee relations for warehouse and delivery employees across multiple shifts and respond to general HR questions
  • Screen applicants, coordinate interviews, and manage onboarding activities through the applicant tracking system
  • Maintain accurate attendance, paid time off, timecard, payroll, benefits, workers’ compensation, and FMLA documentation
  • Partner with the Human Resources department on employee concerns, disciplinary matters, and appropriate resolution
  • Support employee relations needs for regional cross-dock managers during quarterly visits to delivery hub locations
  • Promote workplace safety awareness and compliance with OSHA, DOT, hazard communication, and other applicable requirements
  • Conduct safety inspections and monthly training, maintain required records, and help develop programs to prevent recordable incidents
  • Coordinate office services, supplies, mail distribution, equipment maintenance, facility needs, vendors, and administrative expense tracking
  • Hire, train, and supervise administrative support staff as assigned
  • Maintain record-retention and office systems and prepare organized reports and summaries for management
  • Perform other duties as assigned
