About The Position

This role offers exposure to enterprise risk areas such as privacy risk, third-party risk, and business continuity risk, while collaborating with experienced professionals to support risk management activities, vendor oversight, and operational execution for HR digital platforms and tools. The internship is a 4-month program for Fall 2026, starting in September 2026 and ending in December 2026. Candidates must be returning to school after the work term or require the work term as a mandatory component for graduation.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in HR technologies, risk management, and digital program delivery.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and interpreting enterprise risk policies and industry standards, ensuring requirements are communicated effectively to the HRDS team.
  • Support the completion and regular review of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Business Environment Impact Evaluation (BEIE).
  • Help maintain the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to ensure operational resilience for HRDS systems.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and App Custodians to identify and assess risks associated with system changes, upgrades, or new digital capabilities.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and evidence for internal or external audits, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups on remediation actions.
  • Contribute to the creation of risk awareness materials and reference resources to build risk capability within the HRDS team.
  • Assist in coordinating recurring programs such as Workday semi-annual releases, ensuring stakeholder engagement and timely delivery.
  • Support access governance activities, including reviewing and completing SharePoint audits.
  • Provide administrative support for escalated enterprise digital HR issues, ensuring prompt risk reporting as needed.
