About The Position

The HR Representative plays a key role in supporting a variety of human resource initiatives and serves as the primary contact for employees, managers, and applicants throughout the hiring, onboarding, and off-boarding processes. Additionally, this role works to ensure data integrity and accuracy across various systems and files.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to solve problems and exercise sound judgment
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of HRIS and Payroll Systems
  • Experienced or proficient in Excel and other Microsoft tools
  • Able to work extended hours as needed
  • Drive to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or related field

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates talent acquisition activity including job analysis and definition, search, screen, interview, and candidate selection with Hiring Managers and Talent Acquisition Team.
  • Manage all activities around operations recruitment within the local facility.
  • Work with internet/web candidate search tools, media advertisements, search firms, staffing agencies, etc.
  • Responsible for all onboarding and offboarding activities which include, but not limited to, first or last day activities and HRIS entry.
  • Maintain accurate employee information in HRIS System.
  • Responsible for bi-weekly payroll auditing and coordinating adjustments with US payroll team.
  • Acts as first point of contact responding to a broad range of HR related inquiries including but not limited to policy and payroll questions.
  • May investigate questions and/or complaints for hourly and first line managers and assist in resolving employee relations issues in the operations group.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment posting requirements by maintaining current and accurate workplace notices, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), OSHA, and other required labor law postings.
  • Coordinate and administer employee leave programs, including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), workers' compensation, and other applicable leave programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices; recommend and implement process improvements to ensure ongoing compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Coordinates employee communications efforts through email, postings, newsletters, meetings, etc.
  • Key member of local recreation and wellness committee and leads employee engagement events/activities.
  • Participate on local Safety Committee and manage Workers Compensation Claims as appropriate.
