About The Position

A.C. Moate Industries is seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator / Manager to support and execute HR operations across our growing organization. The ideal candidate is a self-directed operator with a strong ability to manage hiring, onboarding, compliance, and employee support in a fast-paced construction environment. We are not looking to train someone on the basics of HR. You must bring demonstrated experience handling hiring processes, employee records, and compliance requirements with accuracy and accountability. If you have a track record of staying organized, solving problems, and supporting a high-performance team, this is a strong opportunity.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Human Resources or HR administration
  • Experience with hiring, onboarding, and employee record management
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Experience with HR systems (BambooHR, UKG, or similar preferred)
  • Basic understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full hiring process from application to onboarding
  • Coordinate interviews, schedule candidates, and communicate with hiring managers
  • Process new hire paperwork and ensure completion of all required documentation
  • Maintain accurate employee records across HR systems (BambooHR, UKG, etc.)
  • Assist with job postings and applicant tracking
  • Maintain employee files and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Support payroll by ensuring employee data, hours, and changes are properly submitted
  • Handle employee requests, questions, and HR-related issues
  • Assist with benefits administration and enrollment
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies
  • Maintain required documentation for construction and CDL employees (DQFs, onboarding, etc.)
  • Support OSHA-related recordkeeping and documentation
  • Track and organize HR compliance records and deadlines
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters
  • Assist in maintaining a professional, organized, and accountable workplace
  • Communicate clearly with field and office staff
