About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technology-driven HR Operations Specialist to support and optimize HR operations across our growing healthcare organization. This role is responsible for the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of HR operations throughout the employee lifecycle. The HR Operations Specialist serves as the administrator for HR technology systems, supports recruitment operations, manages HR workflows, and develops reporting that enables informed business decisions. This is an on-site position based in Southfield, Michigan. Working closely with HR leadership, the HR Operations Specialist ensures HR processes are efficient, compliant, scalable, and employee-centered while identifying opportunities to leverage technology, improve workflows, and enhance operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of Human Resources, HR Operations, or related experience.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms, preferably ADP Workforce Now, and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Demonstrated success improving processes, implementing workflow efficiencies, or optimizing HR systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting recruiting operations, leave administration, and HR compliance.
  • Healthcare, physician practice management, ambulatory care, or multi-site HR experience.
  • Experience with HR technology implementation, system optimization, or workflow automation.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
  • Experience leveraging HR metrics, dashboards, and workforce analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Administer HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employment changes, compensation updates, leave coordination, and offboarding.
  • Process HR transactions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation within ADP Workforce Now and related systems.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for HR operational processes.
  • Monitor HR workflows and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and service delivery.
  • Serve as the system administrator for ADP Workforce Now, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and related HR technology platforms.
  • Configure and maintain workflows, approvals, forms, notifications, and user access.
  • Perform system audits and ensure data accuracy across HR systems.
  • Coordinate system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and vendor support.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual HR processes.
  • Develop system documentation and train HR staff and managers on HR technology and process improvements.
  • Coordinate recruitment operations, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, offer preparation, background checks, and onboarding.
  • Maintain ATS data and ensure recruiting documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Generate recruiting metrics and reports to support hiring effectiveness.
  • Recommend workflow improvements that enhance recruiting efficiency and the candidate experience.
  • Develop and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics.
  • Analyze recruiting, turnover, onboarding, compliance, and workforce trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support HR leadership with workforce reporting, analytics, and ad hoc requests.
  • Monitor metrics and provide data-driven recommendations that improve HR service delivery.
  • Coordinate HR compliance activities, including employee record maintenance, policy acknowledgments, and required documentation.
  • Support leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and related tracking.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate the operational administration of annual HR programs, including performance reviews, policy updates, and required compliance training.
  • Escalate complex employee relations or compliance matters to the appropriate HR leadership.
